I’ve been testing out the Silicon Devices Bluetooth Headphones for a few weeks now; and I LOVE them! They easily pair with my iPhone, iPod, and Dell Desktop; providing me the versatility I need.
Silicon Devices Bluetooth Headphones are comfortable. They come with three sized ear buds (small, medium, large) and the padding is soft. The ear buds fit snugly without feeling too large or causing discomfort. The compact design and control functionality are my favorite qualities of the Silicon Devices Bluetooth Headphones. It’s easy to adjust the volume, pair your devices, and change your song.
The HD sound quality on Silicon Devices Bluetooth Headphones meets my expectations. The audio quality is crisp and clear. The bass is deep but subtle. I could handle a little bit more bass but that’s pretty typical for me as most headphones I’ve tested miss the mark in this regard. The noise cancelling is also average compared to other headphones I’ve tested. It can reduce average sounds while louder sounds will still come through.
I tested Silicon Devices Bluetooth Headphones on several of our devices and it’s not compatible with everything I would like to use them on. For instance the PS4 won’t let you use non Playstation branded Bluetooth devices. This is not a fault of Silicon Devices Bluetooth Headphones but of Playstation wanting you to buy their proprietary devices. I felt it was worth mentioning for people who might be looking for PS4 compatible Bluetooth headphones.
One other thing I disliked about the Silicon Devices Bluetooth Headphones is that the cord connecting the two earphones transfers movement noise. When I move my shoulder rubs the cord and the noise runs through the cord to the earphones. I’m pretty sensitive to transfer noises like this so it might not bother everyone but I’m surprised that the cord isn’t insulated to prevent noise since this is marketed towards runners. I reduced two stars on noise cancelling due to the issue since it’s one of their main marketing points.
