Bzz Agent| Shake N Bake VS Maggi So Juicy

I bought a large pack of pork chops with the intention of dividing it up for multiple meals. Well someone, ::cough:: Diablo ::cough::, put the whole pack in the freezer. Needless to say I had to cook three meals of pork chops all at once! I turned this in to a positive by utilizing ingredients from two of  my current Bzz Campaigns to cook up all that pork!

For the purpose of this blog I’m going to compare Maggi So Juicy and Shake N Bake. My family is a huge fan of Shake N Bake and convincing them to try out Maggi probably only worked because I told them I would also cook the Shake N Bake. Ya’ know because I was cooking three meals worth of pork all at once! Diablo looked at me like I was insane as I prepared Shake N Bake, Maggi, and Saute Express flavored pork chops!

For my Maggi pork chops I decided to use Maggi’s Italian Country Side pack.

Using Maggi is as quick as using Shake N Bake. The directions are very simple!

  1. SPRINKLE on the seasoning mix
  2. COAT the chicken by shaking the bag
  3. COOK, serve and enjoy!

I gotta admit after trying Maggi I’m sold. I haven’t done much backing with bags so I’ve actually never cooked pork chops in a bag before. Baking pork chops will make them more moist that frying them in the pan but baking them in the Maggi bag made them even more tender. I’ve never had a pork chop so tender! I’ve tried several of the Maggi flavors and Maggi’s Italian Country Side is my favorite and it was perfect for pork chops.

So how do Maggi and Shake N Bake compare? Well they both are good and both have their selling points. Shake N Bake gives you a fried taste and texture without the fried calories and grease. Maggi is more moist and the seasoning is more predominant. Knowing which to choose depends on what type of meal you want to prepare. I think Maggi delivers are more professional tasting meal while Shake N Bake delivers a more comfort food type result.

We tried Maggi So Juicy – I actually won them in some competition – easy to use and tasty… not bad for something what came from the pack 🙂
