Now perhaps you are thinking bumper to bumper traffic means it’s safe to text while you drive but this is simply not true. With the constant stop and go that occurs in bumper to bumper traffic it’s equally important to keep your eyes on the road.

No matter the importance of your text; it can wait. Your life is not worth the devastation that occurs when people take their eyes off the road. Not only do you risk your own life you risk the lives of everyone else on the road.

Take a few minutes to consider the consequences of texting and driving. Here’s a short documentary that should convince you that it can wait.

If you are convinced that it can wait than take the pledge. Don’t stop there, when you see your friends or family texting and driving alert them to the importance of waiting. Don’t stand silent and watch other people put lives at risk, speak up and spread the message, “it can wait”.
