Sentey invited me to participate in their Power User program; as a Power User they sent me their Nebulus Gaming Mouse to test in exchange for a review.
I’m likely not using this mouse to it’s full capacity, this mouse has more features then I could have ever dreamed of! I’m new to this technology so it’s been exciting for me to test out the Nebulus Gaming Mouse.
The Sentey Nebulus Gaming Mouse itself appears very large, initially I was overwhelmed by it’s size. Although it’s a large mouse it does fit very comfortably in my hand. It seems like each grove and recess was carefully measured for optimal comfort. Once I used the Sentey Nebulus Gaming Mouse for awhile I’ve decided it is perfectly balanced in size and comfort.
The Sentey Nebulus Gaming Mouse has 9 adjustable weights. I like design of these weights because when I add or subtract a weight the mouse still feel balanced. I’ve not previously owned a weighted mouse but having one that is heavier is nice. I like how much easier it is to move the mouse and it feels like there’s less friction between the mouse and my mouse pad. I’m using the Sentey Karos Pro Gaming Mat.
Another major bonus in the design of the Nebulus is that it has four CPI levels, 400, 800, 1600, and 3200. This gives plenty of options on how fast you need your cursor to move. 400 is insanely slow, it’s very hard to work with. 800 feels about standard speed. 1600 is my preferred setting which feels slightly faster than my previous Dell mouse. 3200 is way too touchy for me. That being said I love that this customization, it’s nice to be able to control this feature.
My favorite feature though is that you can completely customize the functionality of every button. The Nebulus comes with installation software and once installed you can customize up to 5 profiles. If you need to program the mouse with different button options for various games this would be a major time saver. It could also be beneficially if you needed certain buttons for work but want the convenience to switch profiles for play. If you need any form of customization there are 5 profiles you can use.
I personally have set up a profile for blogging, gaming, and listening to music. It’s nice to be able to mute my music with one click on my mouse as my new keyboard doesn’t have this feature. Here’s some screen shots of all the options:
As I’m sure you’ve been able to tell in all the photos the Nebulus Gaming Mouse also has some beautiful LED lights. The glow, pulsate, and generally look very nice but what if you hate that? They thought of that too. Inside the software you can modify the color settings. My Fiance hates the pulsating while I find it comforting and relaxing. It’s nice to be able to change this feature so that it’s not a distraction if it bothers you.
