I think my increased time on Pinterest is to blame for this creation. I did a Google search to make sure this was not a thing; if it is a thing I sure can’t find it anywhere. If it’s not a thing it should be a thing because this thing was foodgasmic! For lack of a better term I’m calling this thing Chicken Fried Foodgasmic Fusion, if this thing already has an official name then I’m calling this thing Topic Spill’s Chicken Fried Foodgasmic Fusion. ::LAUGHS::

In all seriousness when I threw this together I wasn’t sure what I was doing. I was going to do a chicken casserole but I was craving rice and gravy. The problem was I wasn’t craving just any kind of rice and gravy. I was craving sushi rice and cube steak gravy. I had the sushi rice but I didn’t have the cube steak. No, I’m not pregnant or high, thanks for asking.

When my Mom came back from Japan she replaced all of our rice with sushi rice. My favorite meal she made was cube steak, sushi rice, and gravy. Ever since then sushi rice is the only kind of rice I like. So now you know why the odd cravings existed and hopefully you now understand my conundrum. Did I mention I forgot to go grocery shopping and I really had nothing to make? True story, but something was made and this something was a big hit. Well it was a big hit after I burned the first batch of chicken. But after the smoke cleared we had success.

After much ado I bring you Topic Spill’s Chicken Fried Foodgasmic Fusion:

Ooooo I accidentally bought sushi rice once at the grocery store! And ever since I’ve been hooked. It’s the only rice I make. That dish looks delish! haha. I will be sure to try it sometime!

    How’d you make the chicken/gravy?

Sushi Rice is really the best! Do you use a rice cooker? If so add one bouillon cube to your hot water, let it melt, and then add the water to your rice. It gives the rice more of a chicken flavor. I also add salt, pepper, and butter to the rice.

For the gravy I boiled water with chicken a bouillon cube. I added natures seasoning and few other random spices. Once it was boiling and the cube dissolved I slowly started adding the flour. I also added milk to give it a more creamy texture.

I made the most amazing chicken dish last night from a recipe I saw on Facebook. 1 cup greek yogurt, 1/2 cup parm cheese, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1/1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.

    Mix

Spread over chicken and bake 45 min at 325…. OMG it was YUMMY!
