US Art Supply invited me to review their Jewelescent 60 Color Gel Pen Set. Incredible vibrant and bold colored assortment of superior artist quality gel pens that include Classic, Glitter, Metallic, Neon, Pastel and Swirl Colors. Super smooth writing every time. Pens are non-toxic and acid-free with superior archival quality long lasting vibrant inks that don’t fade.
I absolutely love US Art Supply’s Jewelescent 60 Color Gel Pen Set. Having 60 gel ink pens is an artist’s dream come true! Pens are stored in 5 convenient organizer trays with individual spots to hold each pen, so you can keep all your pens neatly organized and ready for use. There’s so much artistic potential in this box that it’s hard to figure out where to begin!
I’ve recently been reviewing some adult coloring books so I figured that was a good place to start. The first one on the list is the Amazing Dogs: Adult Coloring Book. This was the first time I used US Art Supply’s Jewelescent 60 Color Gel Pen Set. I tried to use every color in this one.
The second one is Nature Art – Adults Coloring Book for this one I only used red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
My final project using Jewelescent 60 Color Gel Pen Set is Tina Belcher from Bob’s Burgers wearing a Splatoon Squid Force T-Shirt.
The Jewelescent 60 Color Gel Pen Set has nearly every color you would want. There are various different shades of each color. With classic, glitter, metallic, neon, pastel and swirl colors there’s a variety of different finishes. Classic is more of a matte almost glossy finish. Glitter and metallic are both sparkly. Neon is bright and bold. Pastels are what we used to call “Milky” pens growing up. The swirl colors aren’t for me. I like to control what color I use. My kids however get a blast out them!
These gel pens, like other pens, need about 30 seconds to dry. If you touch the paper too quickly they will smear. So far I’ve only had one pen clog, metallic red. It was very easy to unclog, just use a scrap piece of paper to rub it aggressively until ink comes out. This is pretty standard for metallic and glitter pens. The fine specs of glitter clog the roller ball. Since only one pen had this issue I’ve found these to be better than most.
